The canopy material we use in our range is PVC-lined polyester and is completely waterproof. Sewn seams in the roof are also clear-taped inside to ensure weather protection long after other polyester roofs have given up.
The Australian Government Radiation Testing Laboratory, ARPANSA, recently tested our roof material, giving it a UV Protection Factor of 50+ because it blocks 99.98% of harmful UV rays. This places Skyshades in the sun protection classification of “Excellent.” For additional protection, Wall Kits also help to reduce exposure to scattered or reflected UV radiation.
Our aluminium frames carry a two year workmanship warranty and are shipped with a wheeled carry bag with ropes and steel pegs for fixing to the ground. It is a condition of warranty that the marquee be properly restrained or anchored when in use. Skyshades are engineered to withstand wind gusts up to 65km/h (around 35 knots) and we recommend that they not be left up overnight or unattended for long periods.
Accessories include weight bags which can be filled with sand to provide extra resistance to wind loads or when pegs are impractical, such as on paved areas.
Wall kits are also available as sets of four walls in their own carry/ storage bag. Walls are attached to the roof and frame with Velcro tabs and are joined to each other with heavy duty marine-grade nylon zippers. One wall features a zippered doorway for easy access when all four walls are fitted. Corporate marquees can be branded with company logos and contact information as well.
